5th October 2008: New York

We left the hotel at around 8.45am and got back at 11pm ... make a cuppa it's a loooong day! Before we set off for the day Jo decided to buy a pair of trainers for the huge amount of walking she'd be doing. She found a pair that she really liked and went back to the hotel to change and ... 2 right shoes. I mean COME ON! 2 right shoes?! Took them back and they had no more in stock, so that was that! Got to wonder if someone has 2 left shoes on though, and just never liked to say ...

Also saw New York City Waterfalls, a public art project by artist Olafur Eliasson which consists of four man-made waterfalls placed around New York City along the East River
