15th February 2009: Vancouver

Olympic One year countdown celebrations continued with some events at Richmond Olympic Oval including ice scultptures. It was nice to get in to see one of the new venues built for next years speed skating. The way tickets are going this could be the closest we'll get ;)

Watched the Curling final on the television too - quite disappointed that our semi-finalist lost in the final. The winning team will represent British Columbia at the 2009 Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary.
