1Hollywood Historic Hotel The Hollywood Melrose Hotel, also known as the Monte Cristo Island Apartments, is a historic building on Melrose Boulevard in Hollywood. Designed by S. Charles Lee, the structure was built in 1927. In April 2010, the hotel was reopened as the newly restored Hollywood Historic Hotel.
